In the previous ICC Cricket World 2003 edition, Namiba will make its debt as a host nation. This tournament features the same features as the 2003 Cricket World Cup. There will be 14 teams in the ICC Cricket World 2027.

2027 Cricket World Cup Qualification
The qualification for the ICC Cricket Cup 2027 is simple: South Africa and Zimbabwe, serving as co-hosts, automatically secure their spots in the competition. The top eight teams in the ICC ODI Ranking will automatically qualify for the 2027 Cricket World Cup. In the same format as the 2003 Cricket World Cup, there will be 14 teams in the 2027 Cricket World Cup. The remaining four positions will be determined through global qualifier tournaments. The Namiba is co-hosting for the first time, but their spot in the 2027 Cricket World Cup has not been confirmed. The Namiba will have to follow the standard qualification pathway to secure their spot in the 2027 Cricket World Cup.

2027 Men,s Cricket World Cup Format
The 2027 Men’s Cricket World Cup format will consist of two groups; each group has seven teams. The top three from each group will qualify for the Super Six stage, followed by the semi-finals and final to determine the ultimate final. In the group stage, each team will face all the other sides in their respective groups once. The 14th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is similar to the 2003 edition.
