The first under-19 women’s T-20 World Cup took place in South Africa in January 2023, and India is the defending champions of the ICC Under-19 women’s T-20 World Cup. The ICC has decided that there will be 16 teams participating in the under-19 women’s T-20 World Cup in 2025.

History of ICC Under-19 Women’s T-20 World Cup
The ICC was scheduled to host the Under-19 T-20 World Cup in January 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this tournament was moved to December 2021. In 2021, the ICC gave Bangladesh the right to host the ICC Under-19 T-20 World Cup, but due to COVID-19, this T-20 World Cup is postponed.
But in January 2023, the ICC decided that the ICC tournament had shifted to South Africa to host it.In this ICC T-20 tournament, 16 teams take part. There are four groups in this tournament, and each has four teams. These tournaments are round-robin and knockout. At the end, four teams reach the semi-final: India,England,New Zealand, and Australia.
In the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup 2023, India and England reached the final. The final started with England opening to bat first and India chasing the target with the remaining seven wickets.
